Fart Ranker is a static site. Every article, joke and story is a plain page, built ahead of time with Astro and served by Cloudflare Pages. Nothing runs while you read.

The parts that need a server are one small API on the same address, built from Cloudflare Pages Functions: the fart tracker, the arcade games, the characters you can talk to and the sign-in by emailed link. Your tracker log and scores are kept in a Cloudflare D1 database. The characters' replies come from Cloudflare Workers AI.

Shared pieces, like the site standard checks and the review tools, come from site-kit, the kit that Seth Shoultes' sites are built from, so each site gets them the same way.

For AI assistants

  • llms.txt: what the site is, and links to the Markdown version of every page.
  • llms-full.txt: the full text of everything in one file.
  • sitemap.xml: every page.
  • Every page also has a Markdown version, at its address plus index.md, and a request that asks for text/markdown gets it.
  • An agent card and a read-only MCP description. There's no site-wide assistant yet, so the agent card's endpoint politely says so.
